My late mother was adopted in 1928 as an infant. Our family had a newspaper clipping from that time, naming her biological parents.  Even with that information, I still didn’t know how to contact my mother’s birth family.  Also, as Mary discovered, the biological parents listed in the newspaper were not right.
I DNA tested a couple of years ago and had neither the time nor knowledge to do anything with my DNA results and paper records we had. Enter Mary!  Within a week, Mary provided me all the information about my mom's parents that I wanted. With some pretty lucky DNA matches and apparently good old fashion detective work, the picture of my biological grandparents is now complete.
Mary also helped me formulate a letter to contact the DNA match that happened to be my half uncle.  My half uncle is my mother’s half brother.  They shared their mother.  This could obviously have been the toughest part of the process, but made easier with Mary's guidance. I ended up having a conversation with my elderly half uncle and am looking forward to future interactions with him and his family. I highly recommend hiring Mary if you want to find answers to your family mystery.
